This 24-unit motel was built in the early 1960's. By 1969, there was another structure behind the original building that was either another motel or an addition to the Anchor Motel. The motel was run by Henry and Nellie Wagenmaker in the early days. The original structure was gone by 1997 to make way for what is now a medical building (originally a bank). The structure behind stayed and appears to be a school. Maybe it was built as one from the start?
