The history of this place is fairly complicated, so forgive me if I have a few facts wrong. From what I can gather, this place started out as the Hyland Gardens Pavilion in the 1940's. It featured most of the Big Bands of the day, including Tex Beneke, Tommy Dorsey, Gene Krupa, and many others. It also featured roller skating which was typical of the pavilions of the day.
By the 1950's, it became part of the Bil-Mar Beach Hotel. By 1973, heaving ice and soil erosion caused damage to the hotel structure. Some time later, the structure was either demolished or heavily modified to make way for what is now Lighthouse Point Condominiums as of 2023.
