The old Marlette Motel goes back to 1954. It was run by Mr. & Mrs. Larry Chappel who sold it to Mr. & Mrs. Clifford Curtis in 1958. Wendell & Pat Donley owned it later on. Sometime before 2005, it was wiped out to make way for a Kraft Service Center. There was a fire at the motel in November 1994 so that may have been a factor in the demolition.
