The Driftwood opened in 1955. I can see the vintage jukebox on the side there so I don't think it was fine dining. I am trying to make out the structure visible through the sheer curtains to determine the exact location. There is a chance this is the older incarnation of Kim's Tally Ho but I am not sure yet.
There are a couple of small restaurants in Curtis that could be a later incarnation of the Driftwood. Unfortunately I don't have a vintage exterior photo so it's hard to compare. I am assuming Main St as that is where most of the businesses are. The postcard mentions going up M-135 which is now H33 or Manistique Lakes Rd. I don't take the postcard to mean the place was ON M-135.
